De volgende Live Sessie komt! Cézanne is een interdisciplinaire artiest die met haar muziek dromerige taferelen schildert, waarin ze reflecteert op zichzelf en existentiële vragen. Dit zet ze op transformerende wijze om in doorvoelde teksten. Ze omschrijft haar muziek als “Cinematic Soul”, een unieke combinatie waarin ze dromerige neo-soul, jazz, folk en filmmuziek samenbrengt.

Our own Alexia is opening the yoga lessons she’s been offering to the broader community and neighbourhood here for anyone else around who is interested in doing something good for their body & soul in a gezellig setting. The sessions are donation-based, accessible to all regardless of experience, and include a variation of asanas, breathwork and meditation, based on the Hatha & Vinyasa Yoga traditions

From large outdoor festivals to small intimate venues The Damn Liars have a stage presence that is undeniable. The energy The Damn Liars bring to every performance is infectious, bringing the whole audience along for the ride!
Currently The Damn Liars are about to release an album 10 years in the making. Each song from the upcoming record is a snapshot filled with history and emotion. From liquor soaked honky-tonk, to swampy blues and rock and roll, Chuck Bradley and The Damn Liars give a fresh and simple take on the complex issues of love, life, hurt and death.
Their music evokes mid-century, American working-class rock-straightforward lyrics, uncomplicated guitar riffs and incredibly well written songs.
Op 2 Februari opent de Warren hun deuren tijdens het "Gluren bij de Buren" festival! Kom gezellig langs voor een concert van Koorkuma, een meerstemmig koor uit Amsterdam met een divers repertoire van folk tot klassiek en vanalles daar tussenin.

On October 26th, cult leaders will unite at De Warren in Ijburg for a thrilling night at The Cult Party, competing for the chance to shape the future. Doors open at 8 pm, with festivities kicking off at 9 pm and continuing into the early hours. Dress as a cult leader, bring your allies, and secure your spot on the guest list via WhatsApp for a night of dancing, ambition, and mystery!
Palestinian filmmaker Ehab Ghafri will screen his documentary at De Warren on Monday the 30th. We’ll start with a big collective meal, which will double as a cooking workshop where people can learn about Palestinian cuisine and hear stories. After the meal, there will be a screening of the documentary, followed by a Q&A with the director.

Vanuit allemaal enthousiaste mensen van De Warren en met creatieve vrienden, buren en partners organiseren we deze zomer allerlei leuke activiteiten op Vrijland, het wordt heerlijk!

Ontdek 25 en 26 mei kunst van Pepijn Determann en Thijs van de Loo in De Warren.Pepijn Determann heeft een achtergrond in de architectuur en als ontwerper, Thijs van de Loo in het theater en toegepaste kunst. Afgelopen jaren werkte dit kunstenaarsduo – wonend in IJburgs collectief De Warren – aan een artistieke praktijk die zich toespitst op de publieke ruimte en verbeelding van nieuwe vormen van gemeenschappelijkheid. Dat brengen ze tot stand in performances, sculpturen en ruimtelijke installaties, vaak met anderen vanuit het idee van co-creatie.
De documentaire volgt en groep jonge mensen tijdens de oprichting van een wooncoöperatie die zowel duurzaam, sociaal als betaalbaar moet zijn. Zaal gaat open om 19:30. Inleiding en Q&A door Gerard Roemers. De film start om 20:00 uur. Na afloop is er gegelegenheid voor een drankje en napraten.

Documentaire film screening | Als je door de wooncrisis geen betaalbare woning kunt vinden voor jou en je vrienden, dan bouw je die toch gewoon zelf? In Samenwonen volgen we een groep jonge mensen in de totstandkoming van de zelfbouw-wooncoöperatie De Warren. We volgen de groep als ze met vallen en opstaan een sociale, duurzame en ecocentrische habitat op het Amsterdamse Centrumeiland realiseren (lees meer…)
