Tangerine - A piano-saxophone duo

A collaboration between two musicians living in two major European cities - Amsterdam & Berlin, Tangerine’s genre-fluid music shapes a distinct sonic universe that emerges from the musicians’ similar yet individual artistic worlds.
By weaving together Jazz, Avant-garde and Free Improvisation, Western Classical colors, and Middle Eastern flavors, they create a cohesive sound that is uniquely Tangerine’s.

As a result, the live experience that unfolds is anything but ordinary. It opens hearts with vulnerability and showcases exquisite technical skill. It also carries listeners on a journey across shifting musical dimensions, with an immediate sense of creativity and connection to the ‘here and now’

Following the Spring 2025 release tour of their debut EP ”Time Without Disasters” — described by music critic Edwin Hoffman as “not only colorful and unpredictable, but also wholesome and deeply human” — Tangerine now presents a full concert program that blends music from the EP with newly composed works.

Supported by a composition grant from Amarte Fonds, these new pieces expand Tangerine’s sonic world.
