De Warren winnaar Ammodo Architecture Award
De Warren is een van de 23 winnaars van de Ammodo Architecture Award, een nieuwe internationale architectuur prijs die ecologische en sociale architectuur viert. De Warren won in de categorie ‘Social Engagement’ en is het enige Nederlandse project dat heeft gewonnen. Naast eeuwige roem is er ook een geldbedrag verbonden aan de prijs. Dit geld komt ten goede aan Natrufied Architecture die hiermee nog meer projecten als die van ons kunt gaan realiseren, zoals de Torteltuin.
De prijswinnaars werden gekozen door een wereldwijd multidisciplinair adviescomité onder voorzitterschap van Joumana El Zein Khoury, directeur van de World Press Photo Foundation. Het comité bestond uit: Andrés Jaque, architect, decaan en hoogleraar aan de Columbia University GSAPP New York; Anupama Kundoo, architect en hoogleraar aan de TU Berlin; Floris Alkemade, architect en voormalig rijksbouwmeester van Nederland; en Mariam Issoufou, architect en hoogleraar aan de ETH Zürich.
